CARP has done so much for Agusan del Norte in terms of social equity and empowerment in just 20 years.
In the lives of farmers and promoting peace through equitable distribution of assets in rural communities of Agusan del Norte, CARP – in its 20 youthful years; changed Agusan del Norte in many ways but tangibly measurable in 22,529.2777 hectares of lands distributed to 12,845 farmers; 98.4401 kilometers of roads funded under local and foreign CAR Programs; 1,180 hectares of land are newly irrigated; etc. In empowerment terms, 4,527 farmers are members of organization of which thirty six (36) are federated and whose federation owned and managed a marketing and information center right in the heart of Butuan City. One coop, Baug CARP Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative of ARC Poblacion Magallanes, now operates like a bank with over Php80 Million Assets. That’s only for a taste but it is already a testament to the meaning of what the program can do in rural development. The implication and significance is that MORE YEARS for CARP mean MORE DEVELOPED RURAL COMUNITIES for Agusan Del Norte.
This WEBsite narrates the struggle and success of what an interventionist agenda like CARP has accomplished in Agusan Del Norte. It shows in factual terms the story of a farmer’s success; a complex project implementation cycle; a program’s dramatic direction from its formulation to its present threat of extinction.
Whatever will be its fate, casting modesty aside by saying that DAR Agusan del Norte has done what is required as proof of sincerity in implementing the program by:
Increasing its yearly target
Resolving old controversial cases
Accessing more investments both local and foreign
Galvanizing partnership with LGUs, NGOs and Line Agencies and other CARP stakeholders of CARP
Fastracking and improving quality agrarian justice delivery
Distributing big landed states
Increasing farmers income through the establishment of AIM-C.
Without the encouragement, support and expertise of our Regional Office, led by Regional Director Elmo A. Bañares, CESO III, Assistant Regional Director for Operations, Alejandro S. Otacan and Assistant Regional Director for Administrations, Daylinda P. Narisma, and this achievement of Agusan Del Norte people will not be something to be very proud of.
We also truly respect and admire the brilliant and effective leadership of Secretary Nasser C. Pangandaman and Central Office Management in coming up with the ingenious idea of developing this DAR Agusan del Norte blogs site. The Agusan Del Norte story is now told as part of the national history of CARP.

Ano ang C A R P?
